GBSB news – Want to ask me a sewing question? #AskClaireLouise

Tonight is episode 2 of The Great British Sewing bee, and I can’t wait for you to see this spectacular episode, one of my favourite from the series.

Series 3- Sewing Bee

Tonight is Kid’s week, so there will lots of fun sewing in Minature….

If you don’t know me, you may not realise that I am the Sewing Producer for the show. I am also the Author of the book that accompanies series 3- “Fashion With Fabric” which should be available to buy now…

The Great British Sewing Bee- Fashion with Fabric

So tonight on twitter after the show, you can use the hashtag #AskClaireLouise to quiz me any sewing questions you might have.

Just to clarify though, I work in my capacity as sewing Producer on a BBC show, and as such I am contractually not allowed to share specific product details from the show. So if you want to know about patterns, fabrics etc, then you’re gonna have to ask ye olde google to help you out.

If you need some pointers on sewing techniques, or any other sewing related advice then join me tonight on twitter at 9 pm.

Happy Stitching

CL :)

I have no idea if you will know the answer to this or indeed be at liberty to share if you do but the book for the last series had a dungarees pattern in it, however it was nothing like the pattern they used on the show. Is it possible to find out what the actual pattern was?
(I was very disappointed as it was one of the reasons I bought the book).
    Thank you.

The pattern for the book, was a totally different project than that sewn on the show itself. For the show we worked up a pattern that was an extremely simplified version of this one

      Best wishes:)

      Hi Helen,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m so glad you love the show! It’s a real labour of love for everyone involved both onscreen and behind the cameras

      Best wishes CL :)
