Want to improve your dressmaking?

If you’re ready to really up your dressmaking skills, and dive into shirt and blouse making, then the pyjama shirt is THE PERFECT intro.  You’ll learn about collars and lapels without worrying about perfect top-stitching, and since it’s a loose fit, you can relax and enjoy the process of making
Not only are pyjama shirts great for lounging about in on Sundays, this year they’ve been seen on the streets worn as shirts or shirtdresses
Pattern option includes either Ladies, Men’s or Children’s pyjama set

This is the perfect class to gain basic clothes making skills. At the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a completed pyjama shirt and an arsenal of new skills

What you’ll learn

  • Attach sleeves using the easy “laid on” method for shirts
  • Make and attach a collar
  • Discover how to finish off an edge with a simple facing.
  • Get to grips with buttonholes.
  • Learn how to finish off clothes with a double turned hem
Cost: £95 (max number of 5 students per session)
Time: 10.30 am – 5.30 pm
Materials required: EITHER 2.5 meters of Light to medium weight woven fabric( 115 cm wide), OR 2 metres of 150 cm wide fabric. (more details included in booking confirmation- for Children’s PJ’s will depend on age so e mail for info) : Matching Thread: 5 x 20 mm buttons
Refreshments: Unlimited tea, coffee and snacks provided. Do Bring along a sandwich for lunch although there are lots of yummy cafes near by.
