My 30 day blog challenge- #BeeMine an outfit a day from Fashion With Fabric

Well folks,

I am gonna be pretty busy here in my little blog space for the next 30 days, as my publisher as challenged me to wear an outfit a day for a month that includes something from my Book- The Great British Sewing Bee- Fashion with Fabric.

We thought it would be great to see the clothes on a real life person. And as I am neither a model, nor sadly a young thing anymore, I fall into the real life category quite nicely! I designed the clothes in the book for all women( except obviously the stuff for kids and men!!) The pieces are  timeless classics, that will suit most figures and ages.

Every day I’ll share a picture of my “Outfit of the day”.  Here’s day one, which is the capri trousers in a cheeky bold floral print. Behind that book is a very naughty pina colada…….

What we’d love is to see the clothes that you guys make from the book. So pick up a copy, rustle up a garment and share with me using the hashtag #BeeMine.

Can’t wait to see all your capri trousers

Happy Stitching:)

    Hi Faith

I just got my copy of this book, this morning. As a really novice sewer, really looking forward to following your challenge. I am hoping it will give me the confidence to have a go myself. Always scared I will completely mess it up.

    Good luck

The book is now available, amazon’s site should have been updated. It’s also in the shops like Waterstones now.

        Best wishes:)

    Hi Claire-Louise!
These are just lush- I love them! I don’t suppose you know the name of this fabric or where it can be sourced, do you? I have a hankering for a full-skirted dress in it!!

Great idea! Really looking forward to seeing the clothes you made. Are those capri trousers like the ones Lorna made on this year’s GBSB? Certainly a very memorable fabric…

      Hi Faith,

They are on fact Lorna’s trousers… I borrowed them, as I love the fabric:)
