New facebook Live Techniques series. PT 1- Pattern hacking, what is slash and spread?

SOME NEWS!!

I’ve started a new weekly facebook live series..

I’m currently going live once a week during lunch on a Wednesday to share some tips and tricks.

As it’s live you can ask me questions too! The first series is all about pattern hacking or changing a pattern that fits well into a new style. This a proper back to basics series, and i’m sharing the fundamental skills you’ll need to start hacking up your favourite pattern styles.

Pattern hacking 101- Understanding slash and spread

Slashing up a pattern and spreading the pieces apart is one of the techniques used by pattern makers to add width or volume to pattern pieces. Utilising this method allows you to transform a well fitted simple pattern into a different style completely.

Whilst the name may sound complicated, the process is really quite simple
