Sew a simple shift dress with sleeves

This Winter, why not make a cosy shift dress with sleeves.

This “adventurous beginner”  class will teach you how to make a fabulous shift in a day, or over 2 evening sessions 
Simple Shift Dress

You must have made a garment using a pattern on your own before attending this class. If not then try the Sleeveless shell top class  first

This is the perfect class to learn how to make a classic loose fit shift dress. The pattern has short or long sleeves, an uneven hemline and side slits

  • Use the pattern again and again as a top, or tunic, plus we’ll share some easy dress variations too
  • You’ll be provided  with the list of supplies you’ll need on your booking confirmation email.
  • Once your project is cut out you’ll be shown how to do the tricky bits like inserting sleeves and finishing the neckline with a facing.
Cost: £90 (max number of 5 students per session)
Time: 10.30 am – 5.30 pm on weekends, 6.30-9.30 pm on weeknights. Arrive on time as session starts promptly!
Materials required: up to 2.5 metres of light to medium weight woven dressmaking fabric, more details included in booking confirmation : Matching Thread: 
Refreshments: Unlimited tea, coffee and snacks provided. Do Bring along a sandwich for lunch at the weekend.
